This organic gin is an aromatic creation inspired by the “Les Ribauds” Lieu-dit cuvee. Tasting vintages and base wines from 2014 to 2022 enabled Laurent Vaillant (the House’s Cellar Master) to establish its aromatic profile in order to select the appropriate botanicals. With this distilled gin, Maison Lombard seeks to provide an originalA olfactory experience by mixing the world of champagne with the world of spirits.

This parcel obtains aerial wines with hints of tangy red fruits and aromas of pepper, ginger and candied lemon. The terroir is a true source of aromatic inspiration. Tasting vintages and base wines from 2014 to 2022, from our “Les Ribauds” Lieu-dit champagne, enabled me to establish an aromatic profile and select the botanicals for this distilled gin. Use of a vinous base was an obvious choice for us in order to end up with a full-bodied gin that can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.

The elaboration of this organic distilled gin is a spirituous expression of Maison Lombard’s terroir philosophy. It is an interpretation of a Lieu-dit cuvee that provides an original sensory experience. Tasting of various vintages of “Les Ribauds” Lieu-dit champagne enabled selection of 6 botanicals in addition to juniper berries, all produced by Organic Agriculture. Maison Lombard aimed to elaborate a gin providing olfactory sensations analogous to the champagne from the “Les Ribauds” Lieu-dit.
In order to carry out the project, the Maison collaborated with an organically certified local distillery located less than 4 km away. Distillation by slow heating in a Holstein brand copper still enables obtainment of a subtle, high-quality gin with high aromatic concentration.
Juniper berries, peppermint, cranberry, pink pepper, lemon peel, damask rose and ginger.

Nez : Les premières notes mentholées côtoient les arômes subtilement résineux des baies de genièvre et évoluent vers des notes poivrées.
Bouche : Sa mâche généreuse enrobe le palais. Les amers légers du gingembre et des écorces de citron tendent vers une finale florale.
Pour 5 cl of Distilled Gin Esprit "Les Ribauds" into a large stemmed glass with a few ice cubes.
Add 15 cl of Premium Tonic Water.
Add a mint leaf and enjoy!
Variant: use an elderflower tonic to bring out the gin's floral profile.Verser 5cl de Distilled Gin Esprit "Les Ribauds" dans un grand verre à pied avec quelques glaçons.
4 cl of Distilled Gin Esprit "Les Ribauds"
2 cl of Crème de Violette
1 cl of elderflower liqueur
2 cl of fresh lemon juice
5 cl of Mariage Frères "Paris in Love" tea
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker 3/4 full of ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds, with a front-to-back rotating movement. Use a strainer to filter the drink into a highball glass previously filled with ice cubes. Decorate with a twist of lemon and a few edible flowers (pansies, lavender, etc.).
Slip a straw in and enjoy!
